Greetings! I am a sole practitioner in private practice with over thirty years experience.

In 2010 I started the Lafayette Wellness Center as a co-op for health care practitioners with various disciplines. After seven plus years I closed these doors and in October 2017, while still remaining independent, I joined the team at Helios Integrated Medicine at their location in south Boulder.

Much Kneaded Touch offers various styles of massage along with a focus on health and wellness education. I believe this is where I set myself apart from most other body workers as I have extensive knowledge in this field.

The services page describes each individual style. More often than not different styles will be integrated and the session will be customized for your individual needs and wishes.

It would be an honor to help you on your journey toward better health.

The day I found out I was pregnant with my third baby, I felt two things, elation and dread. Elated to welcome a new member to the family, and dread because I didn’t want to go through a third cesarean section. My first C-section was an emergency and the second was planned. With both surgeries I was a nervous wreck. I shook uncontrollably during the surgery and battled nausea. The following two hours after, I shook so bad I couldn’t hold my babies or nurse them. My husband and the nurses had to hold the babies to my breast and push, pull, turn, and twist my body to get the baby to latch on. Both babies were fussy and wouldn’t sleep well in the hospital, probably because of my anxiety.
I was less than excited to go through a third C-section. In my third month, my doctor recommended Reiki Therapy. Having never heard of Reiki before, I did some research online, and called the therapist to speak with her directly.
I learned that the therapist uses a universal energy to cleanse and heal my body bringing my body into balance and a state of serenity….sign me up! My first session was incredible. The therapist placed her hands on my chakras sending waves of warmth into my body relaxing and calming me. I went once a month the remainder of my pregnancy enjoying every session, often falling asleep. On the day of surgery I entered the hospital with a sense of calm and confidence. We were delayed two hours but I remained unruffled. During surgery, I felt calm as a cucumber. No shaking, no nausea, no distress. It was over before I knew it and they dropped the curtain, lifted my head and I was looking at our perfect new daughter. The next two hours in recovery, the time I usually shake and am unable to hold my babies, I was calm and steady. I was able to hold our daughter and nurse her without assistance. She was the most content and easy going infant of the three. I am convinced that Reiki not only helped me through a difficult surgery, but helped my baby as well. She is almost two years old now, and people are constantly commenting on how easy and sweet she is. I always answer,

‘She’s my Reiki baby!’

I married for the first time at the age of 43. I’ve always wanted children, and knew as an older woman it would be difficult to conceive. I was determined to do everything it took to give by body the best chance of conceiving, and carrying out a healthy pregnancy. It was important for me to not only be physically ready, but I also needed to feel spiritually and emotionally at peace. The stress and tension of trying to conceive consumed me, and that’s what brought me to Maya Massage.

After my first session, I knew I was in the right place. I could feel the tension release, and looked forward to my next visit. My home care made me feel like my body was working with me, and not against me. After each session, I felt completely relaxed, as if everything was in alignment. Prior to Maya Massage, I would get excruciating headaches with my period. As I continued the care, my migraines went away, and I no longer needed to medicate. I practically fell asleep at each session, and couldn’t wait for the next.

One month later, I became pregnant. This pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 8 ½ weeks  due to chromosomal abnormalities. I was devastated, but later realized that I was moving in the right direction and felt that because of Maya Massage, I was able to get pregnant naturally at the age of 43. I was doing everything I could possibly do to prepare my body for a healthy pregnancy. I continued with Maya Massage, which helped get me through this difficult time.

Within a year, I was able to conceive through I.V.F, and now have 2 healthy three-year-old twin girls. While pregnant, I was on bed rest for 2 1/2 months. I received massage throughout my pregnancy, and am convinced this is what helped me carry our babies to 37 weeks. Everything was so easy at the hospital, I was relaxed and our girls were born healthy without any complications. We feel so blessed to be given the opportunity to prepare for the birth of our little angels. Polly was instrumental in guiding me through this journey.  Her Knowledge and caring touch helped prepare me both physically and emotionally for pregnancy and motherhood.

Polly was so healing and wonderful not only in a physical sense but also in a spiritual and emotional way during my pregnancy. I’m convinced that our regular massage sessions helped me to have an amazing natural childbirth experience at the age of 43. I delivered my beautiful daughter within 3 1/2 hours after arriving at the hospital. The sessions we had postpartum were also very helpful in my healing process after the birth. I highly recommend her amazing services to any pregnant woman.

I received massage regularly with my second pregnancy. It was astounding the difference I noted in my health, mobility and mostly, labor. I truly believe that massage keeps your mind, body and spirit resilient and strong. I am also using massage in my postpartum recovery. It is just as essential to my recovery as it was to my healthy pregnancy. Polly is amazing and has made my pregnancy that much more enjoyable.”
